WASHINGTON -Jan. 20, 2013 Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) support to the 2013 Presidential Inauguration includes ensuring the National Security; Homeland Defense; Homeland Security; Emergency Management; Ceremonial and Presidential Support operations and missions of Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, National Guard, other Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security units, commands and agencies. Additionally, JBAB is providing support to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to enable its mission success in the Inaugurationís ceremonial parade. Sixty local, county and state law enforcement officers were sworn in at JBAB as Special Deputy U.S. Marshals, enabling them to enforce laws and make arrests in the District of Columbia and the neighboring states, regardless of their primary jurisdiction, throughout the Inauguration week.
